Alonia

‘ Alonia is an invented word and acts as a celebration of a creative endeavour forged in the intangible, the taste for abstraction, the formal, the energetic, the sensitive.  The work is articulated around the ideas of confusion and multi-directionality in relation to the other - in an attempt to be attentive, caring, hypersensitive, and generous.

With the idea of reacting collaboratively to a world that is more and more fragmented.
With the idea of elaborating trajectories whose destinations are in constant re-invention.
With the idea of encouraging the singularities and the nuances of our dancing bodies, in a space where community makes sense.

Alonia is a collaborative creation with the dancers, the choreographer Manuel Roque, and the composer Pablo Geeraert. Also, it is dedicated to Lucie Boissinot.
